Taking on a grand location in the thick of Adelaide’s cultural food hub, Mrs Q is a mod Asian Kitchen and Bar newcomer set to stand out this Spring.
Set in the historic Loft at 128 Gouger Street - a one-time ballroom filled with Adelaide’s socialites, entrepreneurs and pioneering visionaries – Mrs Q’s bold, colourful yet refined flavours are right at home among the venue’s distinctive barrel vault, art deco ceilings, giving patrons a New York state-of-mind in a dining experience that’s deliciously ‘one night in Bangkok’.
The menu is a reflection of star chef Nu Suandokmai’s passion for the vibrant, lively kitchens of Bangkok, where he frequently returns for inspiration after spending his formative years growing up and learning his craft in his family restaurant in Ayutthaya, just north of the city. It also blends modern and classic Chinese, Vietnamese and Indonesian tones to offer something truly different and memorable for visitors.
Suandokmai’s stewardship of Mrs Q is quite a coup; with the star recruit a former chef at famous hot spots Gin Long, Bali’s Intercontinental, the Ritz Carlton in Jakart and closer to home; Nu’s Thai - formerly in Gouger Street, and Nu’s at McMahon’s in Sydney.
